Did you ever wonder about the meeting you just hosted? Was it productive? Did people find it useful? Some people find meetings a major waste of time.

If you want to find the secret to participants feelings about meeting content, look no further than the note pads on the table. Clean note pads reveal notes that were torn off the pad for later work use. Doodles, designs and the like, suggest the meeting participants were screaming in silent torture with no outlet for their despair except the notepad in front of them.

Meeting evaluation forms may tell a story about the quality of your meeting … but for the real scoop check to see if the notepads were used for data or doodles.

Do you know what an advance directive is?  It lets your doctor know what kind of care you would like if you can’t make a decision for yourself. For example, if you in an accident, become unconscious and can’t speak for yourself.

Visit familydoctor.org for advice on how to prepare an advance directive. Planning for the unthinkable spares your family from unnecessary stress and prepares them … for what you want.
